The Hidden, but really Unhidden Way to Find Just Amazing Business Leads
written by Pop Icon Mr. Cold Call™

What I'm about to reveal to you today is truly ground-breaking. It's just unbelievable. It's amazing. This untapped sales lead generation idea will take you from "wow" to a capitalized "WOW!" This idea will help you to identify, fine-tune and locate your galaxy of sales prospects. It will without a doubt triple your existing book of business. This idea will put you one Neil Armstrong step ahead of your competition. And the great part about this entire idea is you don't ever have to worry about your competition finding out or even learning of this idea. In fact, they probably will never figure it out on their own. So what in the world are we talking about here?
The idea begins with Microsoft Excel, a spreadsheet application written and distributed by Microsoft. At one time or another we've either used this application, heard of it, seen it on someone's monitor or come across it during a presentation. While its uses are endless, this idea focuses on the use Microsoft Excel to store comprehensive data.

This comprehensive data that I'm talking about is the use of Microsoft Excel to store detailed information about businesses. Industry and Member Associations, Chambers, Trade Show Organizers, State Commissions and Regional Economic Development Councils often use Microsoft Excel to store information about local, regional or US based companies. They often store this information online, but most don't know that this type of information is even accessible to the general public or that this data even exists. The truth is, however, that this information is very accessible and it's accessible to those who know how to access this secret.

This type of stored comprehensive and detailed data can easily be found online through a Google Search. As salespeople, we're constantly looking for targeted lead lists. We're looking for targeted business leads that include detailed information such as the name of the business owner, their email address, revenue size, employee size and other related business data. You can find this business information online if you know exactly how to strategically use Google.

Prior to doing any internet search it's important to know that we're looking for search results that include the Microsoft Excel format. This type of format is saved with the file extension "[xls]." After you click on and test these examples listed below you will see the excel format in the first line of your search results. You will need to click on this link to download the file (make sure that your virus program is up to date, however, I've personally never had any issues with downloading files). Furthermore, in your search results you may also see the file format "[pdf]" and this is because the excel format sometimes appears in another file format such as PDF. If you see this type of format then chances are there could be a list of viable leads for you to immediately download.

To find targeted business prospects in your defined territory try typing in any of the following examples below into a Google search box (you may have to search through the first five pages of search results to find what you're looking for):

1. [xls] and insert an industry type here and insert your city here and insert your area code here

Sample industry types include legal, health care, medical, staffing or contractors.

2. [xls] and insert the name of a local company here and insert your city here and insert your area code here

3. [xls] and business name and insert your city here

4. [xls] and member list and insert your city here

5.   [xls] and insert the name of a local company here and insert the name of another local company here

If your search results are limited then try inserting names of different companies till you get matching results.
