Welcome back, Vanderlyn Families! We're excited to get the school year off to a great start!
Be sure to attend Curriculum Night this Thursday, September 6 at 6 p.m. The evening will begin with a General PTA Meeting, after which you will be adjourned to your child's classroom(s) to familiarize yourself with teachers and curriculum, as well as volunteer to provide supplies or support. Parking goes quickly on Curriculum Night, so leave yourself extra time and be observant of all pedestrians and parking laws!
There are many things that make Vanderlyn Elementary School excellent: a strong base of support from parents, highly trained and passionate teachers who care deeply about educating the whole child and Vanderlyn's academic excellence.
If our teachers are going to foster the highest level of learning for our children, we must give them the tools they need. Help us plant the seeds of success by donating to the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is a streamlined method of fundraising where 100% of your money goes back to the students verses traditional fundraising where 50-75% would be lost to expenses of those fundraisers.
Can Vanderlyn have a Science Lab to study how seeds actually grow and change? YES!
If we have a donation from every family, we will be able to begin funding our Science Lab. We have the space, but we need the funds to make it a reality. We need you!
