Volunteers Needed for August 8 and 10
| Please answer the Vanderlyn call for your help! Registration plans are well underway for our anticipated 750 students, and for the day to run smoothly we need a robust group of volunteers. Volunteer shifts are only 2 hours long, and volunteers serve in many different capacities. Some volunteers are distributing items, others are inputting data, and more are tallying and collecting funds. Please find a task you will enjoy and join in the spirit of volunteerism, one of the traits that earned Vanderlyn the School of Excellence distinction. And don't forget, this is a FUN event to commit to! There is such excitement on Registration Day, and it is terrific fun to see the familiar Vanderlyn faces that we have missed over the summer. If you are wondering what to do with your kids, plan an extended play date with a friend, trade off watching the children, and then you both can take a shift. We need your participation and support! As a thank you for your willingness to serve, we have a special early registration on Tuesday, August 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. for volunteers. The sign up process is very easy. Click here to go to SignUpGenius to schedule your preferred volunteer shift. Thank you for your willingness to serve! Your PTA Executive Committee

Character Trait: Courtesy | |
"A man may fight fiercely to hold his own in business; but he does not need to fight to get ahead of someone in the elevator, or up the car steps, or at the post office window. And no matter how strong competition is, business and personal courtesy make it easier and pleasanter for everybody."
