What's Growin' On in the Garden?

Our summer garden is going strong with cucumbers, tomatoes, basil, potatoes, chives, thyme, peppers, and eggplant still coming in. The garden thrived all summer with the help of volunteers from the following families: Fincher, Humphries, Mitchum, Addalia, Hammond, Limor, and Etheridge. We also had help from a group of rising 4th, 5th, & 6th graders from Dunwoody United Methodist Church during their week of community service. Thank you to all who volunteered. We'll harvest our remaining summer crops during the next few weeks and plant fall crops by mid-September. Fifth graders will harvest throughout the fall as the vegetables mature.

Our work is featured in this week's Dunwoody Patch, an online news publication in the article titled Readin', Writin; maters and Cukes.
