Greetings!

We are excited that you are taking part in this summer mission trip.  We will be operating under the motto of "Heart.Needs.Service".  This mission week we hope that you connect with God's heart for others, begin to see others needs, and are moved to serve.  All around are people who have needs, some are big and some are small.  It is our responsibility as followers of Christ to serve accordingly to your abilities.  Your participation this week will have deeper effects than you might think to
those you serve and others you may never meet.  From painting a house to hammering nails to hauling trash to a simple conversation you are being the hands and feet of Jesus in the Joplin community.

We are honored to partner with you in  this weeks mission trip.  We've spent the last 10 months getting ready for this trip and we hope that everything about this week leads to an encounter between you and God.

Thanks,
The Youth Coach Staff

    • Closed Toe Shoes (No open toed shoes like flip flops.  Remember we will be working at a construction site where the potential to step on a nail or sharp objects are high.  You don't want a hammer dropped on your toes.)
    • Shirt (No spaghetti straps, no low neck shirts.  Remember we will be on a construction site doing lots of bending over, leaning over, and working close together.  Be modest in your shirt selection or we will go to Wal-Mart and purchase you a pair of overalls and a turtleneck to wear.)

    • Sunscreen (We will have sunscreen available in the morning before we leave for the job site.  If you burn easily please bring your own sunscreen so that it is readily available to you.)

Family Time
Family Time
Our day is not complete until Family Time.  This time is provided for us to sit down with the students, regroup and process through all that was experienced and learned throughout the day.

Students will be provided a devotional book to read in the morning before we head off to our work sites.  The devotional book will give us some general items to talk through and see how God is speaking to each of us.  The students that are separated into groups (listed below) are responsible for leading the devotional discussion during Family Time.

Family Time is specifically for us to meet our students where they are at after each day.  We will tell funny and serious stories, laugh, play a game, talk about the devotional but ultimately our desire for Family Time is for us and our students to have a time to share what God is doing in their lives while here on the mission trip.  This gives us a chance to discuss the spiritual lessons learned that day and help them apply these lessons not just for the next day but for the rest of their lives.

Monday
  • Emily Berger, Colton West, Devin Borden, Allison Sodo, Lexy Bradford

Tuesday

  • Audrey Brown, Jake Smith, Becca DeHaven, Tom Siitari, Sam Haffley

Wednesday

  • No devotional because we will be out late eating dinner

Thursday

  • Anna Johnson, Spencer Redmon, Joe Jurney, Carly Moore, Esther Luce, Rebecca Pronschinske

Friday

  • Glenn Johnson, Sam Love, Andrew Pronschinske, Alex Metz
