Call to apply for FEMA assistance For those still recovering from damage wrought by Hurricane Irene, help may be a phone call away.
Damages not covered by your insurance company can qualify for FEMA disaster assistance. So it's important to have first filed a claim with your insurance company before contacting FEMA. When you apply, you'll be given a FEMA application number. Write down the number and save it for future reference. You'll need it whenever you contact FEMA. |
