Greetings!

I would like to welcome you to my first Newsletter! I welcome any feedback you would like to offer me about what you would like to see in future Newsletters.

It has been a very interesting experience learning all of the new things that I had to learn in order to produce this Newsletter. I guess this may be how consciousness studies may seem to those who are just learning how to get the most out of our Divine Triad:
Body, Mind and Spirit! I hope you find some useful information contained in this months Newsletter. I welcome your comments and look forward to learning ways to better serve your needs within the page you are reading in future monthly installments.

2012 - Happy New Year
I would like to wish all of you the most Joyful of New Year's and may 2012 bring you many Celebrations. I know that there is a lot of information about 2012 being sent out these days so I thought I would add my information to the list. One of the things that has been true with all of the energetic shifts I have been feeling is that the more I am able to keep myself in the vibration of happiness and love, the easier the shifts seem to be. There certainly is a LOT going on! How sensitive we each are to the shifts depends a lot on where we are now and where we want to be too! Each of us has our own goals and aspirations, mine are to add to the consciousness collective in the most positive manner I am able. Together we create this beautiful world of ours and it is in changing one little thing at a time that the big shifts seem to happen magically. The electronic era has changed so many things, we went from a Commodore 64 to the I Pad in less than 25 years. The internet brought Facebook and Twitter and lots of other new ways to deliver information to people like this newsletter. I wonder what the next 50 years will bring in the way of changes! This is an exciting time to be sure and we are the authors of our own future by the choices we make today. The freedom of choice is so vast these days in so many avenues that I sometimes feel like I have to slow down a little to consider the long term consequences of some of the choices I am making. It is when we fall into unconscious habits from going too fast that the biggest lessons seem to find us! The freedom of available information and the speed of innovation seem to increase the pace of life so much that I have really enjoyed the time with family and friends that the Christmas season brings. May 2012 be a positive year for all of us!

I will be hosting Monday Meditation evenings again in 2012, and the first one is scheduled for January 9, 2012 with the one following scheduled for Feb 20, 2012. I will just be back from a couple weeks at The Monroe Institute for the February 20th event so I will probably have lots to share with everyone. Both of these will be held in the workshop room at Self Connections Bookstore in Bowness.

2011 had a lot of good times and two very sad departures for me. Two very dear friends made their transition in 2011. It was with the support of the loving community that I am blessed to have around me that I was able to do all that 2011 required. I have really enjoyed the many Monroe Institute-Local Chapter meetings this year and we plan for more in 2012. If you would like to be notified of upcoming meetings or events, please feel free to join our TMI - Calgary local chapter at http://www.meetup.com/TMI-Calgary/ if you are not in Calgary and would like to find a group in your area, please get in touch with The Monroe Institute and you will be able to locate a group in your area.
Inner Peace
Inner Peace Inner Peace is something which has been coming up quite a bit for me lately. Do you get going so fast sometimes that you do not stop to appreciate the one person who has the ultimate effect on your life? The person who appears in the mirror every morning. We all get so many messages from the media, others and even that incessant internal dialogue which runs its story line for us every day about what isn't so great about us, or about our life that we forget about being our own best friend.

How often do we stop and take inventory of what we are doing right in the world? How often do we appreciate our good points? Take just a few moments and thank yourself for one good thing about you, one thing you did right today, one person who smiled because of you, one shift you made in making your world become a world you want to be part of. Take the time to thank yourself and be in gratitude for one (or more) of your good qualities. If you do this you will create a moment of Inner Peace for yourself. Then watch how things around you begin to change!

You are unique in all the world, no one else has exactly your thoughts, exactly your experiences and no one else has lived life in exactly the way you have.  One step each of us can take to widen our circle of compassion is to learn to embrace who we are today.  We are part of the beauty of nature.  When we create a space for us to feel happier about who we are, the rest of the world can enjoy the feeling of peace we create in that one moment of appreciation.

One Human BE ing in all the universe.

In Joy!

Beth Haley

"A human being is a part of the whole, called by us 'Universe,' a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts, and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security."

~ Albert Einstein

I would also like to let everyone know that the videos that were recorded when Tom Campbell was here for his weekend workshop in September are now available here: Tom Campbell. It was such a great weekend to explore our own consciousness and we all got to learn some great tools which will enable each of us to get our own data from the Larger Consciousness system. I so appreciate all of the work that Tom does as well as his freely sharing his work through You tube. I encourage you to take the time to view the videos if you are seriously interested in expanding your own consciousness. You are sure to get a lot out of them!
