For the month of Mother's Day, join Pastor Rocky as he explores the divine design of womanhood. Women will be encouraged as they understand who God created them to be. Men will be enlightened to the complex makeup of the opposite sex. May 6th, 13th and 27th at 10:30am in the Oak View Middle School Auditorium.

National Day of Prayer

Build the Dream
Sunday, May 6
On Sunday, May 6th, we will hear an update on what funds came in for our Sacrificial Offering. We will also have an opportunity to make a 2-year commitment to the DCC Building Fund. Together we will build the dream. Not equal giving but equal sacrifice.

Axis Student Ministries is selling roses for Mother's Day. You may pre-order them at the info table or by calling the church office at 352.472.3284. The cost is $5 for one rose, $25 for a ½ dozen and $45 for a dozen.

Great Expectations: Will You Win Trust?

God has proven that you can trust Him with every moment of your life. But God doesn't want for us to move through our life simply trusting Him. He wants us to become more like Him by showing others that we can be trusted as well. When we trust Him and we respond to Him with our abilities, then we are responsible. And when we are responsible, we live a good story. We are a light to others. They will see our good works and glorify God because of how they see Him at work in us.

Do What's Right
May in Lil' Sproutz and Lil' K
In the month of May, we will be guiding our preschoolers to the Bible where they can "Learn to do what is right," (Isaiah 1:17, NIrV). They will be introduced to two amazing Bible heroes - Daniel and Joseph - who knew they should do the right thing even when it was hard. Our prayer is that our preschoolers will hear the stories this month and know that God will teach them to do what is right through His Word. And, by doing what is right, by showing obedience to God, they will glorify Him every day.

Encore Dinner Thursday, May 10
If you are 55 or older, join us for a Mexican dinner night at 6:00pm in the CE Building Fellowship Hall. Bring your favorite Mexican dish. Drinks will be provided. Also, t-shirts are being ordered for $12 each. If you would like one, you may sign up at the info table or at this Encore dinner.
Pastor Appreciation Sunday, May 20 Join us as we honor the McKinley family for all that they do throughout the year for DCC. We will have lunch together after the Morning Worship Service, so please bring a covered dish or two to share with everyone. 
Senior Honor Day Sunday, May 27 During our Morning Worship Service on Sunday, May 27th, we will be honoring all graduating seniors. If you are a graduating senior or know a senior that you would like us to honor, please contact the church office at 352.472.3284.
Bridge Bible Study Sunday, May 27 All young adults are invited to this discussion based Bible study at 6:30pm in the CE Building Sanctuary. We will be going out to eat at a restaurant after the Bible Study as a group.

We'll never be who we were designed to be until we learn to plug into God's power, grace and love. When we learn that, our lives are ZAPPED! VBS is for kids 3 years old - 5th grade. Your kids will experience awesome Bible studies, music, skits, games, crafts, snacks, science experiments and so much more! VBS Dessert Auction
Sunday, June 3
Destiny Kids will be hosting a dessert auction to raise money for VBS supplies and materials. If you are available to make something to donate, please contact the church office at 352.472.3284. This year, we'll also be selling hotdogs and hamburgers for everyone that wants to stay and bid at the auction.
VBS Volunteer Training
Sunday, June 10
To make VBS possible, we need lots of help! This training is for all people wishing to volunteer in any capacity. The training will commence immediately following our Sunday morning service in the CE Building Sanctuary. If you're interested in volunteering for this awesome event, please contact deAnna at dpetruch@destinycommunitychurch.org. You can also sign up to volunteer on the registration form on the VBS website, destinykidsvbs.com. We have available positions for Pre-school, Nursery, Bible Study, Crafts, Snacks, Games, Registration and Leader Lounge. Lunch and childcare will be provided.
