Middle School Soccer!

Middle School soccer starts next week (September 17). This is a co-ed team for both boys and girls. Practices will be twice a week with several games throughout the season. The two main coaches will be Miss Martin and Mr. Laury. If you are interested in playing, talk to Miss Martin this week. No experience necessary -- just a willingness to try and to have fun.

Picture Day
Monday 10 September

This Monday, we will be taking school photos of the students. You might like to ask them to wear smart clothes for this occasion.

Also, please note that you will be able to buy the photos once they have been developed. The school office will be in contact once they are available.

Returning students need to bring their yellow student ID card (edu card) so it can be updated by the photo company.

Not sure who to contact when you need to get information from the ICSV secretariat?

Please do not email the secretaries at their individual email addresses.

Instead, please use the following addresses:
  • For requests about certificates of enrollment or school records, parents should use office@icsv.at
  • If are not sure who to contact about a request, please always use office@icsv.at.

St Andrews University representative to visit VIS on Tuesday, September, 18th 2012 at 6 pm in The Aula at VIS

This presentation is designed to provide detailed and accurate information regarding all of the aspects that one might consider when applying to St. Andrews.  This will include the choice of course, the structure of the university, social life, the financial costs and benefits, and the application process itsef.  There will also be ample opportunity for students to ask questions about individual courses on a one to one basis.  Paents are welcome to attend.

ICSV Parents and Students are invited to attend.

This is a great opportunity to learn about UK schools and specifically St. Andrews.  For security reasons we must provide VIS with names of attendees.  If you would like to attend, please notify the office by noon on Monday September 17th.

Everyone is welcome to attend our Open Door Tours. If you have friends, colleagues, family who would like to look at our school, get an idea of what ICSV is all about, invite them! We would be very happy to show them our school and answer any questions they might have. For more information contact Pearl Williams at pwilliams@icsv.at.

More Volunteer Opportunities for Parents

Do you enjoy sports?  Do you enjoy working with kids? Are you available once or twice a week after school to help ICSV coaches?

ICSV is looking for a volunteer to assist Ms. Jessie Johnson with the High School girls volleyball team. We may also need help with our Middle School soccer/football team, which is co-ed.

This is a great opportunity to connect with kids and help them develop athletic and leadership skills. If you love sports and working with a great group of kids, this is a way you can help out.  You don't need to be an expert or have played at a high-level to be considered a coach. Some experience and knowledge of the game, plus a willingness to teach and encourage kids is what we are looking for.  The season runs from now until mid-November. If this sounds interesting and you have time to help once or twice a week after school with a few weekends, please contact Lisa Schra, Athletic Director, at
