Powerful Tools for Caregivers |
It's not too late to sign up for our next Powerful Tools for Caregivers class! This 6-week program will run:
Thursdays
September 27-November 11, 2012
5:30-7 pm
at Essex Junction Senior Center,
2 Lincoln Street (at Five Corners), Essex Junction
 The classes are led by Carrie Shamel, MSW, VNA social worker for Long-Term Care, and Paula Gallo, LICSW, CVAA Senior Helpline. This course is designed to provide caregivers the tools they need to care for themselves so they can more effectively care for their loved one.

Let's Go to the Movies |
The VNA was chosen to be the featured non-profit during October for the Main Street Landing's Tuesday Night Film Series. Every Tuesday at 7 pm, a classic movie is shown at Main Street Landing in Burlington. It's free to the public, but donations are accepted at the door to benefit the featured non-profit of the month.
During October, VNA friends and volunteers will be on hand before the show selling refreshments and answering questions about our programs.
It's a great night out for you and your family and you support the VNA at the same time! For more information about the movies that will be aired during October, you can visit the Main Street Landing website or call Maria McGrath, VNA Special Events Coordinator, at 860-4435. |
Blue Ribbon for Adult Day |
 The Prim Road Adult Day Program earned a blue ribbon this year at the Champlain Valley Fair for their garden display. Congratulations! |
Throwing Out the First Pitch |
 Rose LaPointe throws out the first pitch at the Vermont Lake Monsters game on August 28, as a part of a VNA celebration night at the ballpark. Nonety-three years young, Rose is part of the VNA Adult Day Program. |
