DaPPPer Dads |
The VNA is teaming up with HowardCenter and Vermont Adult Learning to offer a comprehensive fatherhood initiative consisting of three programs targeted at helping dads find support and education in their efforts to be a better...
- Parent
- Partner
- Provider for their family.
Responsible Parenting, offered through the VNA, teaches characteristics that comprise an involved, responsible and committed dad: self-awareness, caring for self, and fathering, parenting and relationship skills.
Healthy Relationship/Marriage is offered through the HowardCenter and helps dads improve their relationship with their child's mother/partner. Sessions include such topics as communication skills, conflict resolution, empathy development and stress and anger management.
Comprehensive Employment Services, offered through Vermont Adult Learning, allows dads to design an individualized work readiness plan that may include options like education, training, pre-employment readiness classes, an internship, and earning a WorkKeys certificate.
For more information, please contact Grant Project Manager Victoria Priganc at priganc@vnacares.org or 860-4499 x5141.
Funding for this project is provided by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Grant#90FK0013. All of these services are available to all eligible persons, regardless of race, gender, age, disability or religion. |
