The Ordination of

Deacon Dana Lee Solomon
 to the Priesthood

June 16, 2012

June 16, 10:00am, St. John's Cathedral,
1300 Washington Street, Denver

You are invited to attend Dana's ordination at St. John's Cathedral on June 16th, at 10:00 in the morning.  Usually an ordination service takes about 1 3/4 hours with a reception following, so plan to attend this momentous occasion.

She will celebrate her first two Eucharists at 8:00 and 10:00 on June 17th at St. Stephen's.  Also, we would like to honor Dana on Sunday, June 17th following the 10:00am Eucharist (approximately 11:30am), so you are invited to bring finger foods and cards to celebrate this occasion. Please join us in sharing with Dana in this wonderful transition in her life and ministry.

Carpool?  Perhaps you'd like to attend this festive event, but don't want to drive to Denver, or you'd like to save the environment by offering a ride.  In either case, please contact our secretary, Kandace, in the office by noon, Thursday, June 14 303-776-1072 or info@ststephenslongmont.com.  Kandace will act as a clearinghouse, matching up those who can offer a ride and those who need one.

Dear Parents & Grandparents,

We would like your help in spreading the word that our Wonder Kids Preschool & Childcare Program is enrolling children!

Would you help us give away 2 brochures to someone you know?  Get the buzz going with parents at swimming lessons, birthday parties & ballet over the next few weeks.  You may not have a child or grandchild who is able to attend but you may know of a neighbor or co-worker that needs childcare or preschool.  These brochures will be available on the table in the foyer of the church.

You are our best and most valued cheerleaders.  Whether it is through time or talent, your contribution can make a HUGE impact.  Thank you to all of you who have donated time and/or materials that has made this so successful, you all have been such a blessing.  You are making a difference in the lives of many children.

Heidi Wagner, Director,
St. Stephen's Wonder Kids Preschool & Childcare Program

Summer Office Schedule Changes

Our secretary's hours (on Wednesdays) will change slightly for the summer. During the months of June, July and August, she will be in the office from 11-3 on Wednesdays, instead of 9-1. Tuesday and Thursday hours will remain 9-3.

Also, the Deadline

WeedCleanup

Spring has sprung...

...and so have the weeds!  For those wonderful people who adopted an area of the church yard to care for last year, we sincerely hope that you will continue to take care of that same plot this year. You gave a wonderful gift to the church, and the yard looked so much better as a result of your loving ministrations!  St. Stephen's parishioners thank you, the neighbors thank you, the community thanks you, and I thank you!

If any of you need additional help, or need to find someone else to take over your plot, please ask around, then let me know.  I urge you to keep up this satisfying ministry that makes our church look loved, respected, and well supported.
