Volunteers Needed for
"Hunger Hurts the Whole Community"

The Times-Call and Community Food Share "Hunger Hurts the Whole Community" food drive (April 4-15), needs volunteer greeters. COLORADO HAITI PROJECT PRESENTATION

You are invited to join author, journalist and speaker Ethan Casey and Alison Sharley, the Executive Director of the Colorado Haiti Project, at St. Stephen's in April (date to be determined). Ethan will discuss his new book "Bearing the Bruise: A Life Graced by Haiti", and he and Alison will talk about the importance of community engagement and long-term commitment in Haiti.

The mission of the CHP is to "share Christ' love, through partnership with our brothers and sisters in Haiti, to improve the human condition." The Episcopal Diocese of Colorado has charged the Colorado Haiti Project with overseeing all of Colorado's Episcopal outreach efforts in Haiti.  Please consult next month's Witness for the date and time of this special program, where you can learn more about the amazing work being done on the campus of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and School in the town of Petit Trou de Nippes, Haiti.

For questions or additional information, contact Teri Lefever at the 8:00 service, or Ann Jennings or Gloria Brisson at the 10:00 service, or visit www.coloradohaitiproject.org

Jewish Roots:  Building Bridges
Between Christians and Jews

Once again, we will be welcoming Rev. Rebekah Simon-Peter to bring us, from her unique perspective as a Jewish Christian United Methodist pastor (what a pedigree!), another weekend seminar in her Bridge Building series, Jewish Roots: Building Bridges Between Christians and Jews.  This one - just as fascinating as the others Rebekah has brought us - is called Good Friday/Bad Friday: The Death of Jesus Through Jewish Eyes.

It will be held Friday evening, March 23, and Saturday, March 24, in the Fellowship Hall at Long's Peak United Methodist Church (LPUMC).  The cost is $10 per participant, part of which covers the production costs of quality materials to enhance your study and later recall
of Rebekah's presentation.

Space will be limited, so please register with the
LPUMC Office as soon as possible. For more info, call 303-776-0399 or e-mail lpumc@lpumc.org. Prepayment will be necessary to secure your place in the seminar.

Good Friday/Bad Friday, Part 1:  Friday, March 23, 6:30-9pm
Good Friday/Bad Friday,  Part II:  Saturday, March 24, 9am-3pm

Both will be held in the LMUMC Fellowship Hall

Have You Seen
This Box?

This box is called a wireless repeater.  It looks like a wireless router that you may have in your home, but it is different.

We had one in the church and it was last seen in the Pre-School classroom
or the Audio/Visual closet.   It was used to allow the pre-school computer to connect to the St. Stephen's network.

If you know of the whereabouts of
this box, please contact Jerry Dewlen at j.dewlen@gmail.com

Donate to the Restoration of the Stained Glass from the Original
St. Stephen's Church

The stained glass windows from our original Church have been framed and
are in the process of being evaluated as to the proper way to hang them in our current Church.

If anyone wishes to contribute to the cost of framing and hanging, make out your check out to "St. Stephen's Church" and note on the check "for stained glass windows."  Place your check in the collections plate, send it to the Church, or drop it by the Office.

Stay tuned for more info
as it develops.

St. Stephen's Wonder Kids Preschool and Child Care

As many of you know, we are taking steps to grow and improve our Preschool and Pre-K program.  The idea is to offer a full-time child care program at St. Stephen's with the Preschool, Pre-K and Godly Play programs built in.  This is much more than a simple care program for working parents.  These children will learn to love learning, and, through the Godly Play curriculum, will be introduced to our Episcopal Christian message.
We believe that it's OK to wonder, to question, and to discover.
We will call them "St. Stephen's Wonder Kids."

Our Preschool and Pre-K program have been part of St. Stephen's for nearly thirteen years and we plan to continue offering these programs as a choice.  Parents of children in our school have joined us in preparing for this change. We are excited about this opportunity to build on our knowledge and experience so that we can offer a much-needed service to the Longmont community.

This Logo was designed by one of the parents involved in our school, Angelique Plath.
It is a generous gift and we think it is beautiful and touching.  As our plans progress,
we'll keep you informed through articles in the Witness.
