Dear Friend,
The Pittsburgh region has experienced the second-highest rate of average wage growth among the 15 benchmark regions from 2010 to 2011. With average annual pay growing at 3.62 percent, Pittsburgh trailed only Detroit and significantly exceeded the benchmark average of 2.71 percent. Pittsburgh's relatively strong average annual pay growth likely indicates a relatively strong regional economy as well as relatively tighter labor markets.
