Unemployment Rate Flat, but Down |
Dear Friend,
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for April for the Pittsburgh region was the same as it was in March, 6.7 percent, but it was 0.6 percentage points lower than the April 2011 rate of 7.3 percent.
The number of unemployed in the Pittsburgh MSA declined by almost 7 percent in April 2012 compared to April 2011, and the number of employed - as well as the total labor force - continued to grow.
Sincerely,
Douglas Heuck
