The 1st quarter 2012 Cost of Living Index data reveal that Pittsburgh's overall cost of living remains below the benchmark average and the national average. The Transportation component is one of the highest, second only to Boston. The Housing component is the second-lowest - only St. Louis is lower - and is more than 22 percent below the national average. And the Health Care component is the lowest of any region.
Sincerely,
Douglas Heuck
