"Electronic" Thief Puts Bank

(Memphis 10/25/11). The Shelby County Sheriff's Office is looking for an "electronic pickpocketer" - "News Channel 3 first alerted many Mid-Southerners to electronic pickpocketing in December of 2010. We brought in identity theft expert Walt Augustinowicz, who founded a company called Identity Stronghold. The company creates sleeves to protect credit cards from such thefts.
Augustinowicz showed us how swiping a simple electronic device close to a person's wallet can capture their personal information thanks to Radio Frequency Identification Technology, which allows your credit and debit cards to scan." Click here to watch a video of the news story.
