La Retama Park is the focal point of ArtWalk. This is where you can obtain free information and maps. It is also where the tram and RTA Express connect and where the prize draw takes place.

• The fun starts at 5:30pm with music once again provided by "Get Off The Lawn!" Bluegrass band who will play until 8:30pm  
• As usual there will be a selection of arts and crafts (not resale) vendors open for business from 5:30pm until 9pm including a food vendor and new for August Uncertain Farms (from Marina Market Days) will be in the park with a selection of jams, fruit & vegetables for sale..   
• Again in August there will be a kids art activity area offering free fun for the family. 
• CC Downtown Karate will perform a demonstration at 6:30pm and will have a booth in the park.
• Maps and flyers are available from the DMD booth, ArtWalk volunteers (wearing orange T-shirts), ArtWalk Ambassadors wearing orange polo shirts,  Parking Control Officers on their electric carts, and on the RTA ArtWalk Express. The DTown Tram will also have a supply of maps  and an on board Ambassador and of course, HOBO will be there providing their usual brand of Honkadelic entertainment.  
• The Prize Draw will take place at 9:00pm and August prizes can be viewed by clicking HERE  

• Art Center of Corpus Christi
  The Art Center has a private event booked on August 5th which will utilize all their gallery space and so they will be unable to participate in ArtWalk this month.     
• Barry Brown Clay Studio
  

  Due to the exclusive booking at the Art Center the Barry Brown Clay Studio will be unable to participate this month either.

  Main Gallery - Continuing Exquisite Corpus:  an exhibition of Surrealist inspired works of art.  Come see works by the exquisite artists of Corpus Christi. Much of the work in this show was created collaboratively on-site, and visitors may add their own "mark" to the exhibition on the evolving Exquisite Corpse story or automatic drawing.  An Exquisite Corpse story-telling event will begin at 7 pm.

All three museums have ample parking and are served by the RTA ArtWalk Express service so you could start your ArtWalk at the museums, hop on the bus to Central Downtown, visit other ArtWalk locations and then catch the 8:30 last bus back to the museums.
