Greetings!
Following upon the unfortunate weather related cancellation of the February ArtWalk we are all full of energy and excitement to put on the March event and make up for lost fun time!
The Ritz Theatre, newly donated to Patch, is joining in ArtWalk from this month also 500 Bistro at Havana Club so be sure to pay them each a visit. We are also very excited to announce that The Art Museum of South Texas is joining ArtWalk starting this month; initially they are offering ArtWalkers a $2 off admission coupon valid during their normal opening hours (see coupon for details) and we are working toward full participation in the near future.
Did you know that March 4th is National Poundcake Day? Well it is, and baking is art too so here is a link to a recipe for poundcake which you should feel free to try and perhaps bring some to ArtWalk for your friends to snack on throughout the evening.

La Retama Park
Badlands 94.7 FM
will once again be present in the park and Hank T Moon will do live remotes from many Downtown ArtWalk venues throughout the evening.
- The fun starts at 5:30pm with music by Ty Dietz who will play until 8:30pm
- As usual there will be a selection of arts and crafts vendors open for business from 5:30pm until 9pm including a food vendor.
- Maps and flyers will be available from the DMD booth, ArtWalk volunteers (wearing orange T-shirts), ArtWalk Ambassadors riding Segways and wearing orange polo shirts, Parking Control Officers on their electric carts, and on the RTA Express. The DTown Tram will also have a supply of maps / flyers and of course, HOBO will be on board providing their usual brand of Honkadelic entertainment.

Back by popular demand music in the market square will once again be provided by Steven James and the Shakedown from 5:30pm until 8:30pm.

Weather permitting WaterStreet will operate their outdoor "Tiki Bar" in the market square.

We are always looking for volunteers to help out on ArtWalk nights. Tasks include helping to set up / take down tents in the park, handing out maps / flyers throughout Downtown or on the tram / RTA Express, supervising the kids art area in the park, and many other small but helpful chores.
