The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business organization representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions. Its members range from mom-and-pop shops and local chambers to leading industry associations and large corporations. Biz Talk With Josh frequently features guest officials from the Chamber, including its President and CEO, Thomas J. Donohue.  This week, Josh Smith's guests will be Mr. Michael Eastman and Mr. Marc Freedman - both are Executive Directors of Labor Law Policy at the Chamber; and  the discussion will focus on ongoing issues being considered by the NLRB and OSHA; as well as policy suggestions and litigation initiated by the Chamber to support the plight of small businesses.

Mr. Eastman joined the Chamber in October 2002 and works with members of the business community to develop labor and employment policy, and advocates for that policy before the Congress and administrative agencies.  He focuses on issues related to equal employment opportunity and civil rights, union organizaing and collective bargaining, and international labor and employment policy. 

Before joining the Chamber in 2004, Mr. Freedman was the regulatory counsel for the Senate Small Business Committee under two Senators. He worked on OSHA and labor issues that affected small businesses and was heavily involved in the effort that invalidated the ergonomics regulaton issued at the end of the Clinton administration.
