Clearly, manufacturing is a critical component of America's economy, and woman-owned manufacturers are a growing part of that component.  Managing and coordinating the operation of a  product line in a manufacturing environment is challenging for the entrepreneur -  no matter their gender - while identifying a new and unique product, securing patents on the technology to make it, market it and control costs to bring and expand it into a global marketplace amplifies that challenge. When everything comes together, however, a world beater of a product can result.

On Thursday's broadcast of Biz Talk With Josh, host Josh Smith brings to his audience an entrepreneur who has brought such a product to the marketplace and met those challenges head on - Ms. Angela Newnam, Founder and CEO of Angle Enterprises.  Ms. Newnam's company is the owner of Knockout! and NoTrace brands and technologies, and her firm has successfully designed and developed high performance, comfortable undergarments for women and men that absorb odor, transfer moisture, dry fast, protect other clothing, and are made from natural cotton.  The company's products are internationally distributed in over 250 locations - quite an accomplishment in its first year of operations. Before her entrepreneurial odyssey, Ms. Newnam was a junior partner at McKinsey & Company, and an Associate at AT Kearney where she specialized in turnarounds and supply chain/manufacturing. 

Ms. Newnam and Josh will be joined by Ms. Lorraine Chambers, Vice President, Business Development at Angle Enterprises, and Mr. Dave Brown, an odor technology patent developer who worked with Ms. Newnam on the product.
