Financing Issues Which Impact Small Businesses
In a continuing discussion of the critical financing issues that impact small businesses, this Thursday Biz Talk With Josh brings Mr. Ridgely Evers, Managing Partner of Tapit Partners - and a veteran entrepreneur and proven technology visionary - who has been CEO of companies in the software, real estate, investment, online media, and consumer products industries. Mr. Evers is an acknowledged expert in strategic planning, and the coupling of technology to larger business objectives. He joined Intuit in 1988 - then a small startup - and led the creation of QuickBooks. A lifelong supporter of America's small business community, Mr. Evers was recruited to serve on the small business subcommittee of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board. He also serves on the board of SCORE. Josh and Mr. Evers will be joined by Mr. Carl Hairston, Administrative VP and Regional Manager of M&T Bank's National Capital Region Business and Professional Banking Group. Mr. Hairston is a seminar presenter for the Small Business Administration & SCORE, serves as Chair of M&T's Mid-Atlantic Diversity Business Group, and has over 21 years of financial services experience. He has held various banking roles at Fleet Bank (now Bank of America), Fleet Community Development Corporation, KeyBank, NA, and Empire of America Federal Savings Bank.
