When entrepreneur and marketing executive Michael Bowlds developed the idea of his firm, Mountaintop Marketing Group, LLC, hosting an event that recognized individuals with significant contributions to the minority business community, he, his team and his advisors had to first identify the criteria and categories necessary to quantify the accolades to be bestowed upon people whose contributions would qualify them for recognition. Then they made sure to expand the recognition so that it covered entrepreneurs, corporate executives, educators, government and elected officials - to both receive and present the awards. The resulting event became the Congressional Minority Business Awards, and it is now in its 4th year.
