Utilizing the motto, "Continuing Our Service to America Through Entrepreneurship" the Military Veterans Business Association of America (MVBAA) is a perfect fit for a discussion on Biz Talk With Joshua Smith this Thursday, August 11. MBVAA was founded by visionary men and women who have served on the battlefield to protect our country in times of crises, as well as on the battlefields of the economic sector in America.
Featuring Major General Roger R. Blunt, Sr. (Ret.), along with Congressman Wm. Lacy Clay (D) Missouri, this Thursday's show will focus on the newly created MVBAA and the important role veterans play in the creation of businesses and jobs - once they complete their military service.
Among his numerous accomplishments, General Blunt is Chairman, CEO and President of Essex Construction, LLC - one of the 25 largest commercial construction firms in the Baltimore region. He is also both a West Point and MIT graduate. A staunch supporter of Veterans affairs and of entrepreneurship, he is a a founding member of MVBAA and President of the Retired Military Officers Association (RMOA).
Congressman Clay serves on the House Oversight & Government Reform and Financial Services committees. He is also Ranking Member on the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy. Congressman Clay is also the Deputy Democratic Whip for seven Midwestern states in the House Democratic Caucus.
General Blunt and Congressman Clay will be joined by Ms. Patricia D. Jacobs, President, Greenleaf Associates, a government relations firm. She has been an active advocate for small and minority business enterprises for a number of years and has worked closely with General Blunt to found MVBAA.
