Two of the most critical and influential government entities impacting policies & procedures, practices, rules, regulations -- and indeed the present and future of small businesses in America are The White House and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
To listen to a multi-faceted and far-reaching discussion about the cornerstone of our Nation's economy -- small businesses -- with individuals who are interacting with small businesses and national small business policy makers on a daily basis -- please tune in to Biz Talk With Josh Smith on Thursday, June 16th when Josh will be joined by Ms. Marie Johns, Deputy Administrator, SBA; and Mr. Michael Blake, Associate Director, White House Office of Public Engagement.
As former President of Verizon Washington, Ms. Marie Johns developed products and services to meet the needs of Verizon's small business customers, and worked closely with Verizon's vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, some of whom were SBA borrowers. She also founded the Washington DC Technology Council, chaired the DC Chamber of Commerce, and started her own entrepreneurial endeavor, L&L Consulting, LLC. The Office of Public Engagement is the embodiment of the President's goal of making government inclusive, transparent, accountable and responsible. As Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, one of Mr. Michael Blake's responsibilities is to help make sure that the White House is actively involved in the discussion of, recommendations from, challenges to, and achievements experienced by small businesses from all over America. ____________________________________
