The mission of the SCORE Foundation is to support and leverage the work of SCORE by soliciting, investing and managing resources for the benefit of SCORE. Last year, The SCORE Foundation raised over $2.5 million in philanthropic funds. In 2010, SCORE clients started a total of 58,637 businesses; created 71,449 jobs; saved 17,629 existing jobs; mentored and trained 590,550 aspiring and existing business owners - who in turn generated $19.4 billion in revenue. The first Executive Director of The SCORE Foundation, Mr. Mark Dobosz is also Vice President, Development, for SCORE. Mark has spent more than 25 years working in a variety of leadership roles for non- profit organizations, and has helped raise more than $30 million for the organizations he has served. Mr. W. Kenneth Yancey, as President and CEO, coordinates all program efforts, prepares the association's development plan and manages strategic alliances and fundraising activities for SCORE. He represents SCORE before Congress in Congressional testimony and serves as SCORE's chief liaison with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Please tune in to Biz Talk With Josh this Thursday, May 5, 2011, when Josh will be joined by Ken Yancey and Mark Dobosz as they discuss SCORE and its programs, The SCORE Foundation, and both organization's impact on America and small businesses.
