RENOVATION AT RRC

(Lots to share!)
Renovation at the Pool

Work is moving quickly at the Club and we're beginning to forget what our old facility looked like!  I just catalogued a TON of photos on the Club's photo page (click here ...more coming!) and couldn't believe how much change has occurred in the last two and a half weeks.
Many of you have asked about rec swim during this time (yes, as expected, it finally got hot!).  Families may go to any pool for rec swim, and return proof of payment for reimbursement.  There are more details and paperwork on this pdf.  Lap swimmers, please look for an email soon regarding member feedback and swimming off-site.
Tennis Court Resurfacing
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Club, the tennis courts have been dismantled and the new/improved fences are being worked on as we speak.
Tennis court scheduling will be tricky for everyone during the next two months.  Please take note that coaching and teaching has been limited to allow for more open play time.
Call us and we can help guide you to the best times of day to play.  Thank you for your patience!
Fitness Room Access
We are going to open the fitness room as soon as we can make sure the area is safe for members.  We expect to be able to shore up access tomorrow and open it up then.  It will then remain open except for a short period of time when we have PG&E here to inspect the lines.  Thank you for your patience on this one; after this initial work is done, we expect it to remain open for nearly the rest of the project.
Gas Service
We still do not have gas service to the Clubhouse, but the Cafe is open serving cold sandwiches and salads.  We will update you as soon as we can turn it back on.
As always, please contact me if you have any questions/concerns or want to learn more about the project.

HAL WAGNER A GREAT SUCCESS! HW_People

RRC Members enjoy drinks and apps Sunday evening after a long day of tennis.

Labor Day Weekend Tourney hosts over 350 players and spectators; RRC players win big!
Last weekend marked the 31st annual Hal Wagner Doubles Tourney.  Lisa and Laurent hosted a fabulous tournament, drawing hundreds of players from across Marin County and the greater Bay Area.  (Photo gallery coming soon... In the meantime, check out RRC members Nick Notti and Mindy Magnussen in Marin IJ press!)
Players were treated to delicious lunches from Court 10 Cafe, beer and wine throughout the weekend.
Our sponsors (see who helped, here) are the bread and butter of the HW, helping to support all the perks for the players, as well as the cash prize for the Open divisions.  Thank you to all of them for their generosity!
36 RRC players entered the tournament (see the results), along with many making the semis and finals (Laura Kromhout, Mindy Magnussen, Rebecca Bugas, Mike Worthington), here are the RRC members who won their division:
  • Mike Mirsky & Tassos Papadimos (Men's 3.0)
  • Mike Worthington & Partner (Men's 4.0)
  • Tassos Papadimos & Nannette Klaas (Mixed 3.0)
  • Paul Casellini & Diane Shearin (Mixed 3.5)
