Coins and Treasures
Greetings!
There are two sides to every coin...the same coin, but yet totally different views...that is a pretty good word picture of this season with Bykota House.
The treasures of Bykota House are doing well in our time of absence...growing and learning.

Jobs Workshop Held
Volunteers Meygan Marino, Stephen Daigle, and Carlos Cruz held a jobs workshop to introduce the kids to trades other than what they usually see around Phnom Penh. Meygan talked with them about being a chemist, biologist or engineer. She had projects for each trade, the kids really enjoyed them. Afterward she explained how God gives us interests and abilities, we can learn to perfect them and get jobs using things which interest us. Thursday Stephen talked with them about being a professional photographer. He showed them a little about taking pictures and Photoshop. Also he showed them some of the pictures he has taken. The photo at the top of our email was taken by Stephen. On Friday Carlos spoke about people of prestige that have worked hard to acheive great things. Presidents, Prime ministers and others, like Michael Phelps that won 8 gold medals because he worked hard. Carlos had them make Gold and silver medals and encouraged them to work hard to achieve their goals. |

 In Closing...

While all of this has been happening, the Benz family has been in the US for a time of furlough. We have had a very restful season of furlough liberally seasoned with time enjoyed with ministry partners who love the children of Bykota House and are called by the Father to walk this journey with us in caring for them.
We have had some BIG news on the American front...in fact, we are very blessed to announce that there are three new American citizens in our family. While Seth and Chantal got their documented proof of their American citizenship, Christopher, Mary, and Madeline were approved and granted final and full American citizenship as well. This is a giant hurdle that we are very grateful to have behind us and will make our life so much simpler as we travel abroad in our ministry/work.
Our time of rest is drawing to a close as we are in the last few days of our time in the Carthage area and we are about to embark on a great time of adventure!!! We are loading up our Fabulous Five, hooking up the camper, and heading out to visit more friends of Bykota House on a two-month tour through thirteen states!
We ask that you continue your faithful prayers over Bykota House during this time of our absence and that it will be used by the Father for a great time of imparting more of His character into them and us. Secondly, we ask that you pray for very specific protection over us as we travel, camp, and share about the Lord's work in Cambodia.
