Please make this one newsletter you read to the very end! Happy New Year!!!
The family here in Cambodia with Bykota House and the Benz family sends our love and affection to all of our loved ones around the world. Our New Year has started off with a bang and we would like to share some news. We are starting off our new year with the addition of a new little boy, Sok Chea. This brings our total to 25 blessings in Bykota House. Twenty five bundles of potential. Twenty five arrows in the hands of the Lord.
Read more about his arrival at: My Blog He comes to us through very trying circumstances and we are humbled that God has entrusted him to us. He has brought us great joy in the short time that he has been here. He can always be depended upon for a smile and a "How are you?" Although his body carries the cross of cerebral palsy, his sweet spirit shines through. Our days are spinning faster and faster as we see the date of our upcoming departure move closer. We are scheduled to depart on March 22nd for the United States. We would like to thank you for the prayers you have lifted on our behalf and are happy to share the news that the pieces to this furlough puzzle are falling into place. Next month another family, Yesica and Aaron Hassenboehler from Louisiana, will arrive to begin a month long time of serving with us side-by-side to temporarily take over our roles. The Hassenboehler's have served in India prior to being blessed with a time of rest in the US. So life in Cambodia, while somewhat different, will not be nearly as much of a shock. Please pray for this time of transition. Working on our itinerary/schedule for our time in the States is an on-going mammoth task. It is our heart's prayer that this time is a very fruitful season of building new relationships with the Body of Christ and to share of the Lord's work in Cambodia through Bykota House. If you are interested in having us visit you and share, please email rhonda@hightowerministries.net . If we are anywhere near you, we will do our best. If our family won't be traveling near you, Rhonda or Mark is willing to travel alone to share if the funds are available. Please pray for this planning and for God's provision in the process. BYKOTA HOUSE NEEDS YOUR HELP As you know, Bykota House and our family are funded through monthly love gifts and offerings of friends/family who desire to be a part of this work though financial support. Giving fluctuates from month to month and we understand that fears of the economy are affecting giving in many ministries around the world. This week we received the news that giving for Bykota House for January totaled $150 at the time of deposit. Obviously this is far short of the amount needed. We are praying that this was simply a one-time event and not an indication of anything more. God knows all that we need and we are putting our faith and trust in Him. Please pray for us and ask the Father if He would have you be a regular part of this work. Serving in Cambodia, Mark and Rhonda and family
