Family Business Available Soon

  Family Business

Our 2009 Family Business wine will be available soon.  This full bodied dry Corot Noir wine was aged in oaks barrels and is one of our best dry wines. The label is a tribute to the railroading roots of our family, which includes my great grandfather, grandfather, father, and uncle.

Winery Improvements

We have been busy since we closed last season.  We completed work on our all-season room which now has porcelan tile floors and a second wine tasting bar to help during busy periods.  Your can step out of the all-season room onto a new level of deck which attaches to a grilling area we will use for special events.  Our food preparation area moved downstairs to make it easier on the staff and we constructed additional pantry and storage areas.  We've eliminated the gift shop to make the wine tasking area roomier and built additional tables and chairs.  We built a berm and buried drainage pipes to carry rain water away from the winery. Finally, we have broken ground on a detached wine making building to increase seating and allow us to incorporate a commercial kitched in the future.

We hope these, and other, improvements will make your next visit to Thousand Oaks Winery even better.

Wine Coolers

 coolers

We plan to add a number of wine coolers that we've created to our menu beginning in May 2011. We hope these refreshing drinks will cool you as temperatures climb over the summer.

Bridge Construction

The one lane bridge on Highway 51, just south of the winery, is closed for construction until April 15, 2011. The best way to reach us until constrction is completed, is to take a right on highway A just before the bridge, then a left on YY, a left onto Mount Carmel Rd (by Mount Carmel Church), and then a right onto Highway 51.  All roads except Mount Carmel Road are asphalt.  If coming from Jackson,, you have the option of following the marked detour (all asphalt roads) to 51 South. Then take a right onto highway 51.  If coming from Marble Hill, your route to Thousand Oaks Winery is unchanged.

New Label Awaiting TTB Approval

Stubborn

We will be releasing a new wine "Stubborn" once the label is approved by the TTB and the labels are printed.  This off dry white wine has pleasant apricot notes.  The name and label was inspired by my wife calling me stubborn and my reaction to that statement. We hope will enjoy this new wine once we complete the label approval process.
