Don't Forget Mom on Mothers Day
There is only one correct answer to the question: Are you doing anything for your Mom on Mother's Day? The only answer is: YES. You don't have to bring her to Thousand Oaks Winery, but you do have to do something special for her on her big day.
Kids: Don't miss this opportunity to honor you Mom on her special day. Dads: Don't think you're exempt either.
To all our Mom's out there, have a wonderful Mothers Day !
WARNING: FAILURE TO REMEMBER MOM ON MOTHERS DAY MAY RESULT IN HEARING THE LABOR OR STRETCH MARK STORIES AGAIN. |
Transporting Wine
We've occassionally been asked questions about the proper way to transport wine by car. Recommend that you don't stiore the wine in your passenger compartment, due to the heat gained on sunny days. Basically, a hot day can turn your car into a solar cooker causing the cork to come out of the bottle. For this reason, we recommend storing wine upright in your trunk. Light is also the enemy of your recently purchased wine, so storing it in your trunk also blocks the suns rays which can damage the wine.
There are a number of commercial products that you can buy, but a standard cooler works well and virtually everyone owns one. |
Rain Got You Down?
Although blessed with unseasonably nice weather in March and early April, it looks as if we're in that Spring rain weather pattern. Keep us in mind if you are looking for something to do on a rainy weekend. We have plenty of indoor seating and a covered pavillion.
