Save the Date

This is a new section specifically for advance notice of those once a year events you'd like people to get on their calendars.  I'll include them in the Dispatch issue for the month immediately preceding the month of the fundraising or non-profit event.

April 9th  Dancing with the RSO gala/fundraiser. Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra office.  Contact 203-438-3889.

Please remember the power & imp
ortance of shopping locally!

Please keep in mind all of our local businesses are relying on us.  Remember them when you do your holiday- and everyday! - shopping.  It's great for the community, great for the local economy, and lessens our carbon footprint!

Until next time...

Last month I shared with you all the excitement and changes going on of late and my most sincere appreciation for the incredible support I had been given by my friend and 'helper', Lou.  Unfortunately for me, last week I got the news from Lou that due to employment issues on his part, he will no longer be able to help me with the Dispatch.  (Rats!)  We had worked out a great rhythm allowing for greater latitude in putting together the monthly Dispatch, so he will be sorely missed.  Thanks for all your help over the past many months, Lou, and good luck as you move forward!

Now we all must continue the march.   If any of you, or anyone you know, might be interested in helping out with the Dispatch, I'd be delighted to hear from you/them.  Please give me a call or email me and we can chat.

As always, the Dispatch will continue to greet you by the first of each month.  I encourage you to forward it on to friends and family, or better yet suggest they sign up for a Dispatch of their own so they'll know what's going on in the area too. (There are simple 'button's' below to do just that.)

Should you nave an event in your area that you think might be of interest to other Dispatch readers, please don't hesitate to let me know.  I will be happy to email you a 'template' making submission of your event info as easy as pie.  Please be mindful that event information needs to be back to me 5 days in advance of the end of each month for inclusion in the following issue.

For now, remember spring IS coming!  Until it settles in, make the most of every moment with friends and family while you celebrate Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras, St. Patty's Day, the Vernal Equinox, and every day in between!

May your blessings outnumber

The shamrocks that grow,

And may trouble avoid you

Wherever you go.        --- Irish Blessing

Until April-

Peace,

Betsy Thompson
