I hope everone is getting their share of this wonderful thing called warm weather, sunshine, birds singing, green grass, and things that bloom and seem to be smiling and waving at us as we pass by...............ok in my case they may be laughin, but hey its all good!!  

 

During the Spring and Fall it is especially endearing to me. I love to watch my horses romp and play, running and kicking up, raring and pawing at the fresh morning air!  Chasing each other and in general just having a good time! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm we could learn a thing or two from this huh!!!

 

 They just love this time of year because it isnt too cold or too hot, guess I am on the same page with them about that!!  I kinda prefer the inbetween stuff.  In the recent months we had snow, ice, and lots of rain.......... that means that either my pasture and yard are knee deep in mud (have lost many boots in the stuff!),  or I have this wonderful ice skating rink that covers the entire property. Try carrying water buckets across solid ice!!  It can be a very  humorous sight to see. 

 

  I  tell people if they need a good laugh just come visit a few days with me here on the farm.  I have a tendency to do things a bit backwards anyway and so when it comes to chores its downright hilarious what I get myself into..................  but I love it and REALLY love this warm stuff called SPRING!!   Cuz that means the water spikets to water the horses arent frozen, nor is the hose attached to it, no more rolling up the 100ft. hose and taking it in the house each night, so it wont freeze!, there is no ice on the ground to cause my horses to slip and break a leg,(they havent learned yet how to manage the ice skating thing ),  no having to keep them cooped up in the barn for days (ever been around a person after they been cooped up? ok now multiply that by about 500 more lbs and lots more energy!!)   and hauling water across my ice skating rink called my yard!!

 

 ITS  Freedom   thats what Spring is to us here!!     lol
