Join Tufts Environmental Alumni for a walk among the dune grass and pitch pines at Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA. Our very own TEA steering committee member Ann Gisinger will lead the natural history hike. A picnic lunch will be provided following the hike. The event is free for those who register in advance. Open to the entire Tufts Community, their families, and friends. Driving: Directions to Crane Beach. Meet in the Crane Beach parking lot at 9:45am. Parking is free for this event. Carpool from Tufts: If you would like to reserve a space in our carpool, leaving at 8:45 a.m. sharp from the Tufts Institute for the Environment parking lot (side of Miller Hall at Tufts, 210 Packard Ave), please email Ann at ann.gisinger@gmail.com.
Dogs: Dogs are allowed at Crane Beach after October 1st, but they are prohibited from the dunes and trails. Therefore, they will not be allowed on the Ecology Walk. While at the beach, dogs must be leashed at all times. Dog waste must be picked up immediately and disposed of in the appropriate receptacles. The fee per dog is $3.
