The Disability Rights Legal Center participated in the Abilities Expo held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from April 15 through April 17. More than one thousand people with disabilities, their families, seniors, veterans, caregivers and healthcare professionals attended the Expo to gain knowledge and empowerment tools. The event provided an excellent forum for companies and organizations with disability products and services to reach out and enhance the lives of this community. Maggie Hui, Community Outreach Program Coordinator, and DRLC volunteers, staffed a table where they informed attendees of DRLC programs and services, answered questions, and handed out resource materials. The DRLC was an organizational sponsor for the Los Angeles Expo. For more information on the Abilities Expo, including upcoming Expos in other cities, visit www.abilitiesexpo.com.
