Greetings!
Mid-October is typically the peak time for fall foliage in Summit County. Precipitation was above normal this summer -- a good indicator that our Metro Parks will be full of vibrant yellow, red and orange leaves as the Fall Hiking Spree continues through November.
See you on the trails,

October Outdoor Almanac | Having molted their feathers in late summer, chickadees and other birds wear new winter coats. Wood ducks and other waterfowl may be seen in ponds, lakes and rivers, but they'll soon continue migrating. Groundhogs, raccoons, skunks and other mammals fatten up for the coming winter.
