| Holiday Service Project: CHiPs For Kids! |
Loma Vista is getting into the holiday spirit!
Monday, November 30th to
Wednesday, December 16th, Loma Vista students will be participating in the California Highway Patrol's toy collection drive. Our students will be competing to see which class can donate the most toys for needy kids this year! Our kids have so much...this is a wonderful chance to gift them the gift of "giving back."
What Should We Donate?
Babies/Toddlers: Child-Safe Toys
Young Children:
Board Games, Puzzles, Craft Kits, Building Sets, Sports Equipment, Hand-Held Video Games*
Teen-Agers:
CD Players, Movie Passes, Gift Certificates for books, clothing, Target, Wal-Mart
* Please no video games - these kids usually do not have computers or video game systems
The winning class will receive a cupcake decorating party with Miss Murphy on the first day back from Winter Break! |
| TALENT SHOW TRY-OUT SLIPS - Due 12/16 |
Talent Show try-Out Permission Slips have been sent home with your child. If they are interested in trying out for the show, they MUST turn in a permission slip by NEXT Wednesday, 12/16. (Extra permission slips are available in the office.)
This year no one has volunteered to put together any group acts, so if your child wants to perform, they need to get a solo or group act together on their own. All acts need to be prepared with MUSIC, DANCE STEPS and PROPS at January 7th's Try-Outs.
This year, the Talent Show will be digitally recorded and dvds will be available for sale at $10 each. THANKS go out to Dave and Patti Sigafus for volunteering to record the show and produce the dvds. All proceed$ will go to Loma Vista!
TALENT SHOW DATES TO REMEMBER:
Next Wednesday 12/16: Permisssion slips due
Thursday, January 7th: The ONLY Try-Out
Thursday, February 11th: Dress Rehearsal Friday, February 12th: The TALENT SHOW!!! |
