Customer Success Story
"We want to say that we purchased them (Okanagan Pellets) on recommendations, and we are incredibly impressed with how the pellets preformed as far as BTU's, lack of ash and how long a bag would last us. We are certain we will require less pellets this season based on how well the Okanagan pellets are performing already".

Bioenergy for a Change
The holiday season is fast approaching and with that, temperatures are expected to drop lower than last year. As a result, heating prices will inevitably rise, making for a more costly home heating season this winter. Biomass stoves are an ideal alternative to replace natural gas fireplaces for customers looking for long-term savings.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration has estimated heating expenses will rise up 2.5% nationwide this winter to an average $986 per household. It is expected Northeast will experience a dip in temperatures, down by 5%. Consequently, it is predicted heating bills for this region will rise as much as 14% for users of propane, heating oil, and natural gas. This is certainly a good time for residents to look at investing in biomass stoves.
Fuel prices tend to rise with or without good reason; however, the price of wood pellets are more stable and can be easily forecasted based on fibre supply. Those who want to lower their heating bills can take advantage of a federal tax credit. Through to December 31, 2010 biomass stoves which are installed in "principal residences" are eligible to receive a tax credit of 30% or $1,500 of the cost of the stove, including installation/labor costs. More information can be found at U.S. Department of Energy or Energy Star. |

Pellets can go a Long Way
We believe in helping organizations that are encouraging effective change around the world. Home to 30 previously abandoned, neglected, injured or abused horses, this facility is addressing a little known issue. There are ex-racehorses, show horses, rodeo horses, ranch horses and a number of just plain old horses who have nowhere else to go. The one thing they now all have in common is they are all happy and healthy thanks to the loving care from the staff at the sanctuary. Cypress Pacific has lent a helping hand by donating bags of pellets and shavings for their horse bedding. We have made it one of our endeavors to contribute product donations twice a year to this worthy organization in our efforts to give back to communities.
Please check out the organizations profile to learn more about the sanctuary's valuable work. |
