The EAX-3500 can be temporarily bypassed for deliveries and trash removal, but reminds the manager to close and secure the door.

Advantex and Value Series delayed egress exit devices are in high demand and when installed properly, provide a higher degree of security. If you have installed delayed egress exit hardware, you know it starts with an accurate installation, along with hardwiring low voltage and connecting to the fire alarm. Here are a few trouble shooting tips for your next delayed egress installation:
If you do not get a green light when you turn the key CCW, check these key items:
- Confirm the strike is pushing in the dead latch while the door is closed
- Confirm 24VDC is connected at terminal 1(+) & 2 (-) at the main board
- Confirm fire loop is connected at the power supply
- Confirm the two black wires are plugged into the 2-pin header at the center case
- Confirm cables are plugged in properly
- Confirm the mortise cylinder has a standard straight cam and is installed properly
