Another Norwalk in the books!September 19, 2010

It seems that the older I get the faster the years seem to click by!  We have yet another Norwalk weekend in the books now and next year will be the 20th anniversary of the event.  Wow time sure does fly by! 

 

There were a lot of cars FLY'n at Norwalk as well.  The turnout was very good again at the event and it was nice to meet and talk to so many customers and friends.  There were quite a few performance milestones over the weekend (read below) and we brought out the newly wrapped Tin Indian Performance dragster for the first time as well.

 

All in all we had a fantastic weekend.  We hope you enjoyed the event as well.

 
I would like to take a moment to thank Chris Hunt and the Hammer Time Racing crew for running our vending area in the Vendor Midway.   For those who don't know, HTR is one of our authorized distributors and they tend to hit quite a few more events than we do over the course of the year.  If you missed them this year, make sure you check them out in 2011.  If it were not for Chris and the HTR crew, we more than likely would have not setup on the Vendor Midway.  Thanks again Hammer Time Racing!

Rodney Butler reset the Fastest Pontiacs record with a 6.278 @ 228.11 mph!  He did this in his twin turbo 1963 Pro Mod Tempest.  Congratulation to Rodney and crew.

We unveiled the new look of our Tin Indian Performance Dragster at this years event.  While we didn't break our previous record, we did qualify #2 in the KRE Quick 16 running a 6.88 @ 192.99!  We were pretty pleased running only .07 off of our quickest time ever when the DA was over 3000 feet!  We are hoping to get out once more this fall before we start looking for more POWER!

on running his first 6 second pass
 
Bill Mellott's Pro Mod '65 GTO 
Congratulations to Bill Mellott who moved up the list by running his first 6 second pass in his new 1965 Pro Mod GTO.   Bill ran a 6.84 at 192.77 lifting at the 1000 foot marker.   Bill's combo is made up of a MR-1A Pro Billet Aluminum block, KRE Billet Canted Valve heads, KRE Billet Intake with Screw Charger on alky.  The car looks like its going 100 mph when its just standing still!!!!  We hope to bring you more info on Bill and his hot new ride in an upcoming newsletter.
