| BIG BORE HEAD GASKETS FOR MR-1A (Aluminum) Blocks |
 We are please to announce the release of our new head gaskets specifically designed for the MR-1A aluminum blocks. If you have built a few aluminum blocks like we have, you know that there are areas that could be improved upon with respect to the standard gaskets that are curently available. That's why we decided to make our own!
While this gasket was specifically designed for the MR-1A blocks, it can be used on any Pontiac block that has the standard water jacket locations or on a dry decked block. We have tested our head gasket on both cast iron and aluminum blocks. Power levels from 450 horse up to 900 naturally aspirated horsepower were tested. We have even tested the gasket on an 1100 hp blower application as well with fantastic results.
The gaskets are .041 thick and come in a 4.385 bore size. They also feature a stainless steel firing ring as well. Keep in mind that we do not recommend boring your MR-1A out past 4.350. Gaskets are sold individually and are available now at $45.00 each plus shipping. We hope to have our online store updated shortly with this great new product! |

There was a very good article on the guys from Big 3 Performance and the Jim Wanger's edition GTOs in this issue of PE as well. Did anyone notice the valve covers on the engine?
