Greetings!
For quite sometime we have wanted to include a newsletter as a way to stay in touch with our clients, their families and the many professional advisors and caregivers with whom we have a relationship. At long last, you are receiving our first issue! In the coming months we hope to expand our newsletter and hope that you will continue to enjoy our periodic mailings. Please feel free to pass our newsletter on to others who might benefit from reading it.
Moving is more than packing boxes, it is a journey. It is especially so as we think about our parents downsizing and relocating from a home where a lifetime of memories are cherished. We have created this newsletter as a way to help shine a new light on the often difficult and emotional task of moving. Our goal is to offer a calming and thoughtful approach to the moving process, for yourself, or a loved one. Our goal is to make moving a positive, healthy and uplifting transition for everyone involved.

Great Information!
In late spring we launched our newly redesigned and greatly expanded website.
We have created special sections within the website that speak to the needs of adult children of seniors as well as to seniors themselves.
There is now a dedicated area providing information for professionals who work with seniors. If you are a professional and would like to receive resources and support from Moving Mentor on an ongoing basis, please scroll down to the bottom of this newsletter and visit our "Change Profile" link. We have links for attorneys, senior living professionals, etc.
We hope you will find the website to be helpful and encourage you to
return often and share the information with your siblings, friends and
co-workers. If there is information that you would like us to include, or would like to offer feedback, please let us know.

| Reflections of the Moving Mentor |
Letting Go and the Inner Journey of Downsizing
Lots of people in this country complain of having too much stuff. As we accumulate stuff, we also discover that it is not possible to love it all. As it becomes harder to find a place for these items in our homes, that's happening in our hearts as well. This is what I sense when I work with clients to help them downsize. It's not easy to decide what to keep and what to let go of. How can we let go in such a way that we actually rightsize our lives inside and out - instead of just downsizing?

"Dr. BZ" Is On The Move!
Barbara Perman, Ph.D., and president of Moving Mentor is often known through her many speaking engagements, employee workshops, and seminars as "Dr. BZ" and "The Diva of Downsizing" as she teaches seniors, their families and countless professionals how to develop the "Moving Mentor Mindset".
Over the past several months, Dr. BZ has been a guest speaker at many senior living communities, including Rockridge Retirement Community (Northampton, MA), Loomis Village (So. Hadley, MA) and Applewood (Amherst, MA). Her engaging presentations have helped countless seniors who are having a difficult time thinking about moving, to go home saying, "Yes, I can do this!"
Attending a Moving Mentor workshop is a great way to experience thinking about moving in a whole new, healthy and productive way. If your organization or facility is interested in having Moving Mentor at your next function, please contact us.
