Our latest shipments of STOPstart products have JUST arrived and we are now re-stocked on most of our products, including a few new colors and patterns like GRACE in Spearmint (shown below)!
It's been a tough summer for STOPstart as they've gone through a difficult management transition. During the time of uncertainty, a number of the key, experienced workers left, which made it difficult to keep up with production. We recently learned that several of those experienced workers have expressed a desire to return and we are hopeful that STOPstart is getting back on track.

Documentary Update!
Just to bring you all up to speed with our eBay Documentary saga... Last month we discovered during The Shoot on August 25th that what the production company was shooting was actually six different documentaries about members of the "eBay community". Two were about eBay sellers, two about buyers, one about a non-profit, and one about a "social enterprise". And, out of all the members of eBay (numbering in the millions), we at Kingdom Ventures were chosen as the social enterprise! We were both humbled and honored!
I corresponded with Michael (production director) this past Friday (10/5) and they had delivered the final "cut" to the ad agency on 10/4. To the best of his knowledge, the eBay documentary about us is still scheduled to air on Wednesday, October 10th! How exciting!
 I wish I could give you more information, but look for a REAL BRIEF e-blast as soon as we know where you can view the documentary!

Opening day for our Holiday Shop ~ Thursday Nov. 1st.
During the month of November
we will be open Mondays thru Saturdays from 10am-6pm.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Beginning Sunday November 25 thru December
we will be open 7 days a week:
Mondays thru Saturdays ~ 10am-6pm and
Sundays ~ 1pm-6pm
Closed on Christmas Day.
Our final day in our holiday shop is Saturday Dec. 29th. |
The Last Word... Greetings!
So... you can only imagine how excitedly busy this month of October has already been at Kingdom Ventures! We are a bit tardy in publishing this month's The (ad)Venture due to waiting for confirmation on the eBay documentary. BUT, there is oodles of preparation "behind the scenes" for our traveling Fair Trade Markets, our online shops, and our 8th annual holiday shop! For us, it is a bit like "Christmas in October!" Just this past week we received a large shipment from STOPstart of Cambodia. This coming week will deliver a shipment of placemats from Asian Threads of Thailand ~ new patterns and old favorites too! Our Fuente de Pino order is due mid-month, with smaller shipments from our other regular suppliers. And, of course, in our holiday shop, we will be carrying additional Fair Trade products from India, Peru, Kenya, and Chile as well as Fair Trade coffee to sip during your visit and for purchase at our shop!
Something new this year at the KVI International Marketplace: We are finalizing a number of special presentations on Saturdays throughout our two-month season. Watch our website and The (ad)Venture for further details on dates, speakers and topics. We'd love you to stop in and hear from folks we have met along this Fair Trade journey!
