So here we are in the last month of the year! Thanksgiving is past, as is Black Friday. I'm writing this on Cyber Monday (the supposed day when websites get "hammered" in the same way brick-and-mortar stores do on Black Friday). We want all of YOU to know that our site is alive and well and ready to take your holiday orders! We're well-stocked on most items and with Priority Mail, you SHOULD be able to place your orders up to Monday Dec 21th and still get them in time for Christmas!

  • Creating opportunities for economically disadvantaged producers

    Fair Trade is a strategy for poverty alleviation and sustainable development. Its purpose is to create opportunities for producers who have been economically disadvantaged or marginalized by the conventional trading system.


  • Transparency and accountability
     
    Fair Trade involves transparent management and commercial relations to deal fairly and respectfully with trading partners.
At Kingdom Ventures, this means working with individual artisans in Third World countries such as Simon and Alice of Alisim Glass Studio in Kenya, the "Made in Honduras" cooperative in Honduras, or STOPstart in Cambodia. All of these are marginalized as they and their products do not have access to "conventional" markets for their goods. Through our direct relationships with our suppliers, we ensure open and honest communications in an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.
