As I sit looking out my office window on this gorgeous sunny day, I can see the beautiful little crocuses in my garden. I wasn't sure if they could survive the unexpected snow. One day they were surrounded by nourishing, rich, dark soil and the next day they were not only surrounded by snow, but completely covered by it. Despite the unexpected change in the weather, they now are thriving once again.
It's a good reminder that
you have to be resilient when the unexpected happens. This is a time of great change and many people are faced with things out of their control. It's a time when we're tested to see how well we respond when things don't go our way. Do we have flexibility, creativity, and the inner strength to take what comes our way and make the most of it or do we let it overtake us. Can we step into a place of self-responsibility and stay focused on what we want in our life or are we thrown off track?
This time of uncertainty opens us up to unexpected opportunities. This is when you really need to be conscious of your choices and aware of your mindset. More than ever, you need to have clarity of direction and purpose as well as a plan to get you there. This includes a mindset for success so that you can see the opportunities on the horizon. We're in the process of reinventing ourselves to meet those new opportunities.
There have definitely been a few times in our business when we've had to draw on our inner strength and resources and make a choice to rise above our challenges rather than succumb to them. Thanks to the choices we made, this year we're celebrating our 15th year in business. Despite what the media are saying, this year is off to a great start for us.
I personally invite you to share your experiences, ask questions, learn from others and continue to grow into the life you were meant to live and deserve. I look forward to hearing from you.
