To simplify your search, and to reduce the amount of time that you are driving around in search of a parking spot, OTC does offer some options for you!
OTC's new parking lot "O" is now available, with over 400 new parking spaces!! The new lot is located west of Graff Hall and Lincoln Hall.
Additionally, the OTC Parking Shuttle runs between the Springfield campus and the following locations, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Silver Springs Park located north of the OTC campus on N. Hampton Solid Rock Church located north of the OTC campus on N. Sherman Mount Carmel Methodist Church located north of the OTC campus on E. Pythian
The shuttle will deliver to and from the locations noted above and it will drop off/pick up at the north side of the Information Commons building. All students and employees who take advantage of the OTC shuttle will receive a coupon for $2 off at the all-new Café 101!

... The annual Welcome Day event at the Richwood Valley campus drew a great crowd of students despite the heat! The event included food, tables with representatives from a variety of student organizations, an HLC information display, and student services staff on hand to answer questions.
... The Springfield campus also enjoyed a great turnout for its Welcome Day event, which included food, music, local vendors, tables with representatives from student organizations, an HLC information display, and student services staff available to answer questions.

The Same 10 Questions We Always Ask
Stephanie Brown, Director of Development for the OTC Foundation
Describe what you do at OTC in 50
words or less. My job is to help achieve
the fundraising goals of the College and to establish and maintain
relationships with current and prospective donors.
How long have you been at OTC, and
where were you immediately prior? I have been at OTC for five
years. Prior to OTC, I worked at Mayse Automotive as the Customer Relations
Manager and before that, I was a Title I Reading Specialist for third graders
at Republic Elementary School.
What do you hope to accomplish in your position or department in the coming
year? We have two major capital
projects. One is the Springfield Expansion and the other is the new Lebanon
Facility. My job, along with the rest of the Foundation staff, will be to raise
the funds necessary to equip these two facilities.
What is your favorite thing about working at OTC? The best part of OTC is the
people. My co-workers make it fun!
What is
your favorite thing about living and working in the Ozarks? My family is here.
Tell us about one person who had a significant impact on your professional
life or career choice. My mother has had the
biggest impact on my career. She has always been my biggest supporter. She
taught for 30 years in the public school system and is now retired and teaching
part-time. At an early age, she
instilled in us the importance of an education.
What do you have on the walls of your office? I am not into decorating. I
hate decorating. I just have my diplomas.
If you could have dinner with three famous people, alive or dead, who would
they be? That is so difficult. I
would like to have dinner with Barack Obama, Mark Twain and Susan B. Anthony. I
think the four of us could solve all
of today's problems.
If you were to write a book, what would it be about? It would be a children's
book about my cat, Lenny. Trust me. It would be a best-seller.
What were the last three songs played on your iPod (or what was the last music you listened to)? "Crack the Shutters," by Snow Patrol, "Tell 'Em," by Sleigh
Bells, and "Just a Dream," by Nelly.
