     Beware of the Cluttered Mind
Have you ever been working so hard that you forget its supper and the family is hungry and you haven't even thought of what supper will look like? So what do we do....quickly cook something up that's quick, pasta maybe,  only to find that it tastes awful because we rushed it and its full of starch because it is undercooked? Well, there are times when we want our business to be successful, even profitable all too fast and what we end up with in the end is lack of focus, duplication of tasks, time wasted, and a more cluttered mind than when we began.

 

In my readings and understanding of ideas like law of attraction, Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now" and Louise Hay's "You can Heal Your life", those books have really shown me that we need to really monitor and cherish our thoughts, and ensure that we spend time in quiet and slow down all our thinking in order to really reap the rewards. I know in relation to business, a cluttered mind really limits us as business owners. Presently, I am involved with Oprah's clean your messy house tour and what I am doing is cleaning our home, one room at a time. This is vital to giving yourself clarity. Think of a room in your home and if it gets messy how do you feel? Cluttered, unable to focus, agitated maybe?

 

It is amazing how much having a clear desk in your office can do for the mind so why should our thoughts be any different? If we have clear space in our brain with our thoughts we leave more room for creative thinking and THAT is when the million dollar ideas come. Or better yet, when we clear our minds and get out in nature and just be "in the Now", that is when we are truly at our best. Our memories improve; tasks seem easier all with clarity, order, and space.

 

Once you detect that you are cluttering your mind, you will then be able to work on the decluttering. Feel comfort in that if you slow down and still your mind everything will be ok, and you will become more productive in the end. You will also have more clarity to move forward and lead a productive and fulfilling life. This is an example of when less is more.
