Memorial Fishing Derby
Buy Fish Stock in New Canaan Saturday, April 9th, from 9am0in
Don't miss this town tradition. Annual Fishing Derby at Mill Pond for children 16yrs old and under. With the wonderful pond reconstruction now complete at Mead Pond, and the great resource that we have at Mill Pond, I'm sure we are all looking forward to another great year of fishing in our local New Canaan waters. Although there are some minimal funds already set aside for the initial restocking of Mead Pond, there are unfortunately no funds available this year for Mill Pond restocking, which is typically performed in early Spring, just before the annual Fishing Derby. To that end, we would ask any interested New Canaan residents to PLEASE DONATE to the "N.C. Fish Management Fund" so everyone can catch some big ones at the derby. Click here to read more information on how to donate.
