Our Ib.l.a.s.t. merchants are planning fun activities all over town.  Be sure to stop in and visit all our iblast merchants:

  

Lamakers: To celebrate the Holiday Stroll, Lamakers will give Iblast card holders a total of 20% off their Ladies merchandise purchase!  Three days only - Friday Dec. 3 - Sun Dec. 5!

 

L'Armoire: December 3rd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., L'Armoire at 102 Park Street will host a four-legged delegation from Puppies Behind Bars, the ground-breaking program that trains prison inmates to raise puppies to become service dogs for wounded veterans and law enforcement. In addition to the personal appearance by dogs from Puppies Behind Bars, L'Armoire will host a special show of the jewelry designs of New York designer Deirdre Featherstone. Featherstone is one of a handful of women platinum bench jewelers.

 

Synergy Salon and Spa: Synergy salon will be welcoming guests with extended hours during the holiday stroll!  Come down and enjoy food, fun, and good cheer. Free gifts, raffle, bang trims, henna tattoos, and eyebrow threading available.

 

New Canaan Ski and Sport: Come hear Theory, an R&B group, perform holiday music on Friday night and then join us on Saturday for the M.Miller Trunk Show featuring their fabulous shearlings!

 

Candy Nichols: Stop by Candy Nichols for treats and great sales!  Candy Nichols is also collecting for Toys for Tots.

 

New Balance: Stop by and support our troops.  Donate $1.50 to buy a pair of socks to be sent to our troops in Afghanistan.  While you're there, don't forget to purchase a gift card for all the athletes in your family.

 

Saraswati Yoga: Stop by our grand opening on Friday, December 3rd.  We are located at 12 Burtis Avenue.

 

Rockwell Gallery: Please join us Friday, December 3rd at our New Canaan gallery when we will introduce "The Prize in View"; the first in a series of small rotating history exhibits. Reservations required. Call 203.594.7177.

 

Gelatissimo: New Canaan's mecca for freshly made artisan gelato will be serving hot chocolate on the corner of South and Elm. 

  

Fabulous Feasts: Bertrand L'Herbette of Fabulous Feasts will be making authentic French crepes in the front window of design solutions the evening of December 3rd.

 

design solutions: design solutions is featuring Red Barn Applesauce. This applesauce sold out in one week last year so hurry in to pick up a few jars while they last. Local designer Caren Forbes will also be showcasing this year's must haves. 

 

Phillip Johnson Glass House: The gift shop will have extended hours during the Holiday Stroll.

 

Also visit Santa's Workshop for photos with Santa on Saturday, listen to EJ the Singer serenade the crowd on the corner of Forest and East, eat homemade waffles, get your photo with a Gingerbread Man and much much more!

 

Fuel up for the Holiday Stroll with a visit to the Kiwanis Club Annual Pancake Brunch & Holiday Boutique on Saturday, December 4th from 7am-12pm at First Presbyterian 178 Oenoke Ridge.

Many residents don't seem to know that funding for our holiday events come from private donations.  Here's a few worthy causes looking for donations right now:lights

1. Holiday lights in downtown: If you enjoy the lights and want to make a donation mail your donation to Holiday Lights, c/o Chamber of Commerce, 91 Main Street, New Canaan or click here...

wreath2. Veteran wreaths: This group plans to place a wreath on the gravesite of every veteran buried in New Canaan. Mail your donation to VFW Post 653, PO Box 653, New Canaan or for more information call Peter at 203.966.7480 or email.
