Ib.l.a.s.t. Gives Back!

Most people buy an Ib.l.a.s.t. card because it saves money or they want to show support for the local merchants but do you know that by buying an Ib.l.a.s.t. card every year you are also building up the charitable fund at the New Canaan Community Foundation 20% of all Ib.la.s.t. card sales are donated back into the community so when you buy a card you're not only saving money and supporting the local merchants but you're also building up the charitable fund that reinvests in some of the best things about our community!

The Local First Fund was established by Ib.l.a.s.t. to bolster the vitality of New Canaan by supporting projects that attract visitors and retail prospects as well as make New Canaan an enjoyable place to live, shop and do business. This Fund is generously managed by the New Canaan Community Foundation (NCCF). NCCF provides a way for all residents to engage in meaningful community philanthropy. NCCF will hold the 6th Annual Philanthropy Luncheon to benefit their Young Philanthropists Fund on November 18th. This year's speaker is Claire Gaudiani, an Adjunct Professor in the Wagner School of Public Service at NYU and former President of Connecticut College. The eagerly awaited YWL Holiday Market will be returning for its 13th year this November! The ever popular Preview Party event on Wednesday evening will all to get an early jump on their holiday shopping while having a great time socializing. It has sold out the last four years so get your tickets early. On Thursday, the Market and Cafe will be open to the public. Over forty selected vendors from around the region will gather at historic Waveny House to display their distinctive merchandise for holiday gift giving. All proceeds go to local charities. NCHS Drama Peter Pan

Don't miss New Canaan High School's "Peter Pan" - the musical by Piers Chater Robinson. It's an exciting and different stage version of J.M. Barrie's classic tale. Guaranteed never a dull moment in Neverland in this high-flying, fun-filled show is on November 18, 19, 20 at 7:30pm in the New Canaan High School Auditorium. Tickets will go on sale in the High School lobby starting Monday Nov. 15th through Fri. Nov. 19th from 11am to 2:30pm and up to one hour before show times.
